My picture book

My tessellation

In mathematics , we made a design called tessellation. Tessellation is a pattern that has no gaps and overlaps. The pattern is always repeated. We also found a website about tessellation and made our own tessellation pattern in a piece of square grid paper.

I enjoyed this because I can make my own pattern and it was easy to make.

Mathletics

For our Math we often play Mathletics. It is an online game in Math wherein we add, subtract, multiply and divide mentally. I like it because I get to compete on line with my friends and children from other countries. Isn't that cool?

Natural disaster : volcano

This term we are learning about natural disasters .

Science Week 2009

This term we have been learning about Natural Disasters like flood, cyclone, landslide, volcanic eruption etc. Last Friday , the 6th of May, my friends and I designed a volcano model as a part of our activity for the Science Week. We mixed vinegar with water and baking powder to create an explosion.I had fun doing that experiment. Also on that day I watched an interesting competition from other classes . It was the rocket competition for Grade 6 and 7 .
